Thighs lifting

After significant weight loss or age, it is possible to have excess skin hanging on the inner side of your thighs. To get rid of it, cruroplasty is one of the best solutions. It is a thigh lift surgery, which consists of removing the excess fat and relaxing the skin. It aims to make it smoother and firmer.

The procedure

Generally, thigh lifting is performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes an incision on the inner side of the thigh to limit the visibility of the scar. He proceeds to remove the excess skin and then performs liposuction to reduce the volume of fat.

In most cases, he also places drains to facilitate postoperative fluids’ evacuation. As soon as he is done with the surgery, the surgeon applies a bandage made up of elastic bands. Cruroplasty can take place in 1h30 to 2h30, depending on the magnitude of the surgery to be performed.

Recovery

Patients usually feel slight pains after a thigh lifting procedure. However, these are easily controlled with painkillers and antibiotics. Tensions, as well as the presence of bruises, may also appear. They will resolve themselves after a few weeks.

During the recovery phase, it is recommended that you observe at least 1 week of rest. Intense physical activities and movements that require high thigh mobility should be avoided.

Possible complications

We work in collaboration with competent and qualified surgeons and the surgical operations are carried out in good conditions. However, complications may occasionally occur, including:

  • Phlebitis risks. This happens in very rare occasions. To avoid it, we make sure to avoid complications to a minimum.
  • The appearance of hematomas
  • An exceptional delay in healing
