Breast lifting

Also known as Mastopexy, breast lift is a surgical procedure that shapes and provides a good symmetry of breasts. It is performed to correct the ptosis or reduce the volume of breasts in order to give them a lift.

A preoperative consultation is conducted with your surgeon and anesthesiologist, and mammography will be performed. During the surgery, the doctor makes an incision to remove excess skin and tightens the chest.

Duration

Breast lifting can be performed in 1h30 and can last up to 3 hours.

Anesthesia

This operation is performed under local anesthesia and sedation or general anesthesia.

Recovery

The recovery period after breast lifting is not long. After the surgery, the chest may be swollen, with the appearance of bruises. However, they fade around 5 to 10 days.

During the first month, it is recommended to wear a special bra to support the chest. Physical activities, carrying heavy loads or performing strenuous tasks are proscribed.
